Question Classes classes classes...

Hi guys... this is my first post
I was thinking about going either necro/ele, or ranger/necro or ranger/ele.... in previous weekend events i have had fun playing necro/elementalist but i was wondering what you guys think? would it be worth it to be a necro/ranger instead of necro/ele? or what would be a good combo for fun pvp?
Thanks
-Skorn

one alpha said a necro primary was not the way to go but that was a bit ago and things change

i would say whatever is fun for you that doesnt get killed too easily is what you want

fun is the key

They all have their pros and cons. I say play the class that is the most fun for you.

Skorn,

Of the options you've mentioned, I'd recommend ranger/necro or ranger/ele....even ele/necro (though you didn't mention this one). There is little gained by the necromancer primary attribute and a lot gained by all the others.

You could have a lot of fun with the expertise skills with a ranger primary and create an army (including a pet) with your ranger/necro.

Unless you're using the expertise skills, or a majority of bow attacks/preps, it might be best to go ele/ranger.

Anyway, it all depends on what you think is fun. Would you rather kill with your bow or kill with your spells or "control" a huge army of somewhat harmless minions and a pet.

there's someone who loves every class combo. There really is no perfect or imperfect combination, there is however YOUR perfect combo and the only person who can find out what it is is you.

You could listen to 1000s of posts telling you what to be, but at the end of the day it is you who must deal with being satisfied or dissapointed with the choice. There is no right answer and there is no wrong answer. There is only your answer. Try them all and see what you like the most.

Yep, one of the funnest things in this game is experimentation. Hey you've got four slots to experiment with ! Knock yourself out man !

But from experience, I would say a ranger/necro is fun to play with. When i was necro primary i died quick
Someone mentioned an ele/necro , i've never tried that... could be interesting hehe

I had that build for last beta PvPing. Killer build Great at raising minions, doing mass damage, and taking down warriors.

I have a newbie question...can you pick a primary and secondary right off the bat? And if not, when does this occur?

Nope, you just have to find the trainer of the secondary class you want. i believe you can do it whenever you want to in pre burned ascalon, and if you join the academy you can't go back, so choose the secondary class first ^.^

i have found trainers in post ascalon who have duplicate quests from presearing so you can pick up secondary professions after the academy

you would have to be able to otherwise how would they impliment 2nd profession changes which they stated will be available
